Strawberries are among the most popular fruits that are on the list of "superfoods" today. Aromatic and delicious, they are loved by young and old. The juicy fruits are used to make a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes, alcoholic and soft drinks, and in the Strawberry Museum located in Belgium (yes, there is one), you can even find strawberry beer. We will not offer you to make fruit beer, but we will give you an idea for making strawberry mousse with the aroma of roses and mint . Of course, the fruit goes well with cream, so we have included it in the recipe, as well as thick cream cheese, which will give the right consistency to the dessert. With the help of the jelly in the composition, everything acquires a finished and perfect look.

To prepare the strawberry mousse, you need:

  • 2 leaves of berry gelatin
  • 300 milliliters of hot water
  • 150 grams of chopped strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 1 teaspoon confectionery whipping cream
  • 190 grams of cream cheese
  • a few fresh strawberries for decoration
  • mint leaves for decoration

How to make strawberry mousse with cream and cream cheese

Put the gelatin leaves in a bowl and add the hot water. Stir well to dissolve the gelatin completely and allow to cool.

During this time, put in a blender all the other ingredients, except those for decoration, and beat until smooth. Combine the two mixtures, mix and pour into a form of your choice.

Cool for 4-5 hours, remove from the pan and garnish with halved or whole strawberries and mint leaves. Cut, serve and enjoy eating.

Here are some tips to help you make strawberry jelly

  • You could replace the strawberries with another seasonal fruit of your choice, the important thing is that it is fresh and soft, well ripened and without a hard shell. This is necessary in order to obtain the cream effect after blending. If you use hard alternatives, the puree that is obtained after grinding will not be homogeneous and smooth.
  • In case I don't like the pink scent, replace it with an essence according to your taste.
  • The cream cheese you use to make the fruit dessert should be "pure", without additives, impurities and flavors, so as not to affect the taste of the final result.

Enjoy!
