Wash the potatoes and grate them. Cut them in two, and if they are bigger, maybe in 4 pieces.
Use a pan with a non-stick coating, in which pour 2 tablespoons of oil. Pour the potatoes, let them cut down. If you do not gather all in one row, arrange as it turned out. Leave on the stove for 3-4 minutes without closing the pan with a lid.
Pour the chicken broth (you can use water, but in this case the idea is the broth), add the butter and stir. Close the pan with a lid and reduce the temperature to medium. Let everything cook for 15 minutes. Stir, but try not to open often. Be careful not to burn the potatoes. If they are raw and necessary, add more broth.
Shortly before removing from the heat (about 5 minutes), add salt and spices, you can add others to taste. Stir and let the potatoes absorb the aromas. Close the container with a lid, let it cook until fully cooked and soften.
If you keep it for a long time, an appetizing crust will form - a matter of taste.
