No other fruits and products are added to this ginger jelly recipe, except ginger, which is the main ingredient, along with liquid pectin. A great addition to any breakfast, thanks to which you will ensure a healthy start to the day.

Ginger is one of the greatest super foods these days and has a number of indispensable health benefits.

Necessary products:

  • 3 1/2 teaspoons fresh ginger root
  • 4 teaspoons water
  • 5 teaspoons sugar
  • 100 milliliters of liquid pectin

Method of preparation:

Clean the ginger and cut half of it into cubes and grate the other half. The total amount should be about 3 tea cups.

Put in a saucepan and add the water. When the liquid boils, reduce the heat and cover with a lid, simmer for an hour and simmer. Add more water if necessary so that the mixture does not become too dry and thick.

Strain through a sieve and save 1/2 cup of the water, which you add to the cooked ginger. Refrigerate overnight.

The next day, put the ginger in a saucepan, add the sugar and bring to the boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add pectin and reduce heat, simmer 7 minutes. Separate the foam that forms on the surface.

Boil 5 jars to sterilize - immerse them for 5 minutes in boiling water.

Pour the jelly into the hot jars. Run a knife along the walls of the jar to remove any bubbles formed between the jelly and the jar. Put the caps on and cook for 15 minutes.

Store the jelly in a dark and cool place.
