How To Cook Glazed Pork Chops With Apple Cider, Garlic And Honey - Recipe

Required products :

  • 700 grams of boneless pork chops
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil

For the glaze :

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

  • Lightly dry the pork chops with kitchen paper and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • In a small bowl, mix the garlic, chili and flour. Stir.
  • Sprinkle each steak with the mixture and tap with your fingers to cover evenly.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the steaks for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then turn them over and fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Transfer them to a plate and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Return the pan to the hob and add the apple cider, vinegar, honey and mustard.
  • Stir thoroughly and remove any sauces that have separated from the pork.
  • Let the mixture simmer for about 6-8 minutes until it thickens and is reduced by a little more than half.
  • Remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return the pork chops to the pan and dip them on both sides in the glaze.
  • Arrange the glazed meat in a suitable plate and serve with a garnish of your choice.
