Required products :

For the countertops :

  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 tea cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 tea cup corn flour
  • 2/3 tea cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • butter and corn flour for baking tins

For cream :

  • 300 milliliters of whole cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Method of preparation :

  • Beat the eggs and powdered sugar with a mixer for about 8-10 minutes until you get a thick cream.
  • In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa, ginger and cinnamon.
  • Add to the egg mixture and stir with a wooden spoon or spatula.
  • Grease the bottom and walls of two baking pans with a diameter of about 22-23 centimeters and sprinkle with corn flour.
  • Spread the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
  • Allow the tops to cool on a wire rack covered with baking paper.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the cream by beating the cream, vanilla and 1 tablespoon powdered sugar with a mixer until the stirrers begin to form soft peaks.
  • Place the first loaf on a tray, spread the cream evenly, cover with the second loaf and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar.
  • Cut the cake and serve.
