Honey is hygroscopic, so if the jar is not tightly closed, it will easily absorb moisture, which increases the percentage of moisture in the contents, and this can cause fermentation and spoilage.
At honey humidity over 21% the storage temperature can be 20 degrees and the air humidity - 60%. If the humidity of the product is a little higher, it is best to keep it at +10 degrees and lower temperatures.
It is also important to know that honey absorbs aromas from its surroundings, so keep it away from products that emit odors.
It is extremely important not to store honey in metal, copper and galvanized packaging. The substances in it react with these metals and the product becomes harmful.
Do not expose the product to direct sunlight - it will begin to lose its useful properties. Store it in dark and cool places in tightly closed containers. In this way it will be stored for more than a year and will still be useful.
Nothing complicated. Just heat it in a water bath, ie put the container with honey in another with hot water, the temperature of which should not exceed +45 degrees.
If you have not stored honey properly, it may spill, look like syrup (a precipitate will form at the bottom of the container and it will be too liquid on the surface).
