How To Cook Meatballs With Whole Quail Eggs - Recipe

Required products :

  • 16 quail eggs
  • 500 grams of minced meat / mixture of beef and pork /
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 50 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 1 teaspoon savory
  • 1 egg white / chicken /, lightly beaten
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • frying oil

Method of preparation :

 

  • In a large bowl, mix the minced meat with the chopped onion and savory. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Boil the quail eggs in water and vinegar for no more than 2 minutes. Carefully pour cold water over them to cool, then peel them.
  • Scoop with a spoonful of minced meat and form a circle with a diameter large enough to wrap around an egg.
  • Wrap the quail egg and lightly roll the meatball in your palms to complete it. Repeat with the remaining eggs.

 

  • Put the flour, breadcrumbs and beaten egg whites in three separate bowls.
  • Dip each meatball in flour, egg and roll in breadcrumbs.
  • Fry them in a pan over medium heat until evenly golden brown.
  • Remove them with a slotted spoon and transfer them to kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • Serve the meatballs warm.
