Necessary products:

 

  • 150-200 grams of farfale pasta
  • about a liter and a half of salted water
  • 400 grams of flavored minced meat
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • oil or olive oil for frying
  • fresh basil leaves for decoration
  • toothpicks

 

for the sauce

 

  • 4 red pickled peppers
  • 3 grated tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 boiled carrot, chopped
  • 1 boiled potato
  • salt, pepper
  • olive oil

 

Method of preparation:

 

Pour the water into a saucepan and cook the pasta. Drain and cool in ice water. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil, shape and flour the meatballs and fry them.

Prepare toothpicks equal to the number of meatballs and stick pasta on each. Cover the meatballs with basil leaves and pierce the sticks. Arrange the canapes in a plateau. Prepare the sauce by mixing the peppers with the tomatoes, sugar, carrots, potatoes, salt and pepper in a blender and beat until a homogeneous mixture.

Heat olive oil and fry over low heat. Stir to prevent splashing and to thicken completely. Serve the appetizer garnished with the resulting sauce.
