How To Cook Mushroom Soup With Carrots, Onions And Garlic - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon leeks, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup of celery, finely chopped
  • 3 large garlic cloves, chopped in bulk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 900 grams of mushrooms, cut into slices
  • 6 teaspoons chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method of preparation :

  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the carrots, onions, leeks, celery and garlic. Stir and cook for about 10 minutes until softened.
  • Add the thyme, mushrooms, chicken broth, salt and pepper. Stir.
  • When the soup boils, reduce the heat and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the heat, pour the mushroom soup into bowls and serve.
