How To Cook Onion Rings Stuffed With Cream Cheese And Spinach - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 140 grams of fresh spinach
  • 450 grams of cream cheese
  • 400 grams (canned) artichoke core
  • 100 grams of grated ripe mozzarella
  • 1 large head of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 150 grams of breadcrumbs "Panko"
  • frying oil, salt and pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

Stew the garlic and spinach until soft in a little fat.

In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with a mixer until a creamy mixture is obtained. Add spinach, artichoke (chop if necessary), mozzarella and season.

Mix the products again with a mixer.

Cut the onion into 1 cm thick circles and divide.

Arrange the circles on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Fill them with the mixture and level. Freeze for 1 hour.

Put oil to heat in a suitable frying pan.

Beat the eggs and bread the stuffed onion rings first in the flour, then in the eggs, breadcrumbs, dip them again in the beaten eggs and roll again in the breadcrumbs to get a thick and crispy crust.

Fry them until done, about 5-6 minutes.

Drain on kitchen paper.

Serve while still warm so you can enjoy the melting mozzarella in the filling.
