Learn how to cook "Pie with old onion filling, eggs and melted cheese". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 200 grams of butter
  • 300 grams of flour
  • 6 tablespoons sour cream with 20% fat
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar and soda
  • 200 grams of melted cheese or quantity to taste
  • 6 heads of old onions
  • 5 eggs (4 for the filling and 1 for spreading)
  • salt, green spices and pepper to taste
  • a little frying oil

Method of preparation :

Pour the flour into a deep bowl, then grate the butter (from the freezer) on it. Grind the two products between your palms, make a depression in the center and put the cream, baking soda quenched in vinegar and stir.

Make a dough, knead it for about 2 minutes to form a ball, which you wrap in plastic wrap and store for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator or overnight, if you have that much time.

Peel an onion, cut it into thin semicircles, fry them in oil until soft.

Once this is done, add a little salt and pepper, fry for a few more minutes and transfer to a bowl. Immediately add the coarsely grated melted cheese and stir.

Beat four of the eggs with a fork and pour in the chopped green spices you prefer (you can use frozen).

Once the combination of onion and melted cheese has cooled slightly, mix with the eggs and stir.

Take the dough out of the fridge and divide it into two parts, one larger than the other.

Roll out the larger one in a circle, with a slightly larger diameter than the dish you will use to bake the pie.

Grease the pan with oil and put the prepared base in it, the edges of which should cover the walls of the dish. Pour the filling on top.

Roll out the remaining dough and close the filling with it, pinching the edges of the two layers of dough.

Bake in a preheated 160-170 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes.

A few minutes before the pie is completely ready, spread the last egg (beaten) on its surface.

Serve when cool.

Have a good time!
