Required products :

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tea cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large apple, well washed and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 tea cup dried blueberries

Method of preparation :

 

  • Lightly dry the pork chops with kitchen paper and season them on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Roll in flour, shake off the excess and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the sliced ​​apple with the lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and allspice. Stir.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the chops for about 2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  • Transfer to a plate and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Add the remaining oil to the pan and saute the onions for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the apple cider (or apple juice) and the dried blueberries.
  • Stir and simmer for about 4 minutes until thickened.
  • Add the apples and steaks to the pan and stir to coat evenly with the sauce.
  • Cover with a lid or foil, reduce the heat and let the meat simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve the pork chops warm, garnished with apples and blueberry sauce.
