Season the chicken fillets with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the meat for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned on both sides and cooked. Transfer the meat to a plate. In the same pan, fry the onions for 3-4 minutes, stirring often until soft, then add the garlic and lemon zest and cook for 1-2 minutes until they release their aroma.
Pour the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Add the pasta, carrots, salt and pepper to taste and reduce the heat. Cover with a lid and cook for 11 minutes. Add the asparagus and cooked chicken, cover and cook for 7-8 minutes, stirring often, until the pasta is cooked al dente and the asparagus is soft.
Add the diced cream cheese, parmesan and lemon juice and stir until melted. Pour the peas and cook until soft and the sauce becomes creamy. Remove from the heat, refrigerate for 5 minutes and serve.
