How To Cook Red Onion Sauce With Raisins And Pine Nuts - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 large red onion
  • 1 tablespoon pine nuts
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation :

Peel an onion, cut the head in half and then into thin semicircles. Soak the raisins in hot water for 15 minutes, then drain the liquid.

Heat olive oil and fry onions, raisins and pine nuts in it for about 1 minute.

Mix the tomato puree with the apple cider vinegar and carefully pour the combination into the bowl with the onion mixture (stirring constantly). Add salt to taste, mix well and leave the sauce briefly on low heat until it acquires the consistency of ketchup.

With such an appetizing addition you can serve roast meat, pork skewers and all kinds of meat dishes.
