Required products :

3 oranges
300 grams of sugar
400 milliliters of water a
small piece of fresh ginger
50 milliliters of lemon juice

Method of preparation :

Only orange peels are needed to make this jam. Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice.

Remove the white layer, which is on the inside, cut them into thin strips, wind them and fasten with a needle and thread.

Put in a saucepan and pour cold water. Leave to stand for at least 3 days, changing the water 5-6 times a day.

Boil the crusts 3-4 times for 15 minutes, and after each subsequent boiling pour cold water over them.

In the end you will get about 200 grams of orange "beads". Pour 400 milliliters of water, add sugar and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes.

Cut the ginger into small pieces and add it to the syrup. The crusts should become transparent and the syrup should thicken (but not too much).

Pour the lemon juice, stir and remove the pan from the heat.

When the jam has cooled, cut the threads and remove them. Distribute in jars and store in a cool place.

You can use it in addition to tea, desserts and pastries, as well as to decorate cakes and pastries.

Enjoy your meal!
