Required products :
250 grams of semolina
450 grams of sugar
100 grams of butter
1 liter of water
50 grams of raisins
50 grams of walnuts or others of your choice
peel of 1 lemon
a pinch of vanilla
a pinch of cinnamon
a pinch of nutmeg
Method of preparation :
The only complication in performing this recipe is that it requires melting the butter in two different containers at the same time and making a syrup from the water, sugar, lemon peel, raisins and spices.
When the butter has melted and heated enough, add the semolina and finely chopped walnuts. Stir and fry everything until golden brown.
When the syrup boils, pour it over the other ingredients, stirring constantly so that no lumps form. Cook for a few minutes until the halva begins to thicken. Then remove from the heat and pour the mixture into a pan or distribute in molds, if you have any.
Wait for the dessert to cool and cut into pieces.
