Required products :

  • 1 1/4 tea cup ghee (or butter)
  • 1 1/4 tea cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 25 milliliters of brandy
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 1/3 teaspoons flour
  • blanched almonds
  • protein for spreading

Method of preparation :

Melt the butter in the microwave until almost melted.

Add the sugar and beat with an electric mixer. Add the brandy, cinnamon and eggs, combine and add the lemon zest.

Mix the flour with the baking powder in a separate bowl.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees. Add the flour to the liquid mixture and knead by hand.

Form small balls and arrange them on a greased pan.

Press one nut on top and spread with whipped egg whites. Sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 10 minutes until golden.

Carefully separate them from the tray with a spatula. The center of the biscuits is very soft. Cool completely before eating.
