Required products :
800 grams of canned peas
1 kg of tomatoes
130 grams of yellow cheese
2 onions
2-3 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons oil
3-4 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
2 bay leaves
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon
ground sugar black pepper and salt to taste
Method of preparation :
Wash the tomatoes, peel them and cut into large cubes. Finely chop the garlic and onion, grate the yellow cheese.
Fry onions in hot oil, add tomatoes, 2-3 minutes later put the garlic, spices and pour 3-4 tablespoons of water. If the tomatoes have secreted enough juice, do not use water.
Leave the dish to cook for 30 minutes and remove the bay leaf.
Drain the liquid from the canned beans and pour over the tomatoes. Put the chopped fresh parsley, stir, remove the pan from the heat and sprinkle the dish with grated yellow cheese. Cover with a lid and let stand for a few minutes before serving.
