Learn how to cook "Stewed carrots in fresh milk with butter and raisins". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 400 grams of carrots
  • 120 grams of raisins
  • 800 milliliters of fresh cow's milk with a fat content of 2.5%
  • 60 grams of butter
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • walnuts or other preferred nuts if desired

4 servings of these quantities of products are obtained.

Method of preparation :

Peel the carrots, rinse with water and grate. Pour boiling water over the raisins and let them stay in it until they soften (about 15-20 minutes), then rinse them. Pre-cut them into pieces if the fruits are very large.

Heat the butter in a deep pan and sauté the carrots in it for 5 minutes. Then pour the milk, bring to a boil and cook the mixture over low heat until almost all the liquid has evaporated (stir periodically during this time).

Once the contents of the dish thicken, add the raisins, sweeten with sugar, stir and remove from the heat.
Optionally sprinkle with walnuts (crushed or ground) or nuts of your choice.

The delicious carrot dessert is ready. In the same way you could prepare a pumpkin or apples.

Distribute in bowls and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
