Required products :

  • 4 chicken legs
  • 400 grams of white beans (soak it in cold water for 1 day)
  • 150 milliliters of dark beer
  • 1 carrot (diced)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (grated)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili
  • clove berry
  • 2 bay leaves
  • thyme stalk
  • 1 cube chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • a pinch of anise, cinnamon and fennel

 

Method of preparation :

Rinse the beans (after soaking in advance), pour it into a saucepan, add the bay leaves, thyme, diced broth and pour all the beans with water. Close the pan with a lid and cook for 45 minutes. Remove the foam that will form in a timely manner.

In another pan, heat the olive oil and fry the onion in it. Then put the legs, salt and season with the remaining spices. Fry the meat, stirring and pouring the beer.

When it starts to toast, pour 150 milliliters of water, put a lid on the pan and stew the legs over low heat until soft (about 50 minutes).

Once the chicken is almost done, pour the beans over it and let the dish simmer on the stove for another 10 minutes.
