Necessary products:

  • 700 grams of beef or pork (better not frozen)
  • 1 large onion or 2 medium
  • 2 tbsp (full) tomato paste
  • 15 prunes (quantity is approximate, add to taste)
  • salt to taste
  • ground red pepper to taste 
  • bay leaf (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons unscented vegetable oil (preferably olive oil)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons cream (maybe more)

Method of preparation:

Cut the meat into large pieces, fry it almost until done in vegetable oil. Cut onions into cubes, tomatoes into large pieces and stew the meat with them. Pour water (almost completely cover the meat), add the cream and tomato paste, leave to simmer. Add salt to taste.

During this time, soak the prunes in hot water for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse several times. Add them to the meat and stew until done. 15 minutes before removing the dish from the stove, add spices of your choice and taste.
