Required products :

  • 1 kg of fresh spinach
  • 1 large onion
  • 150 grams of butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 small tea cup of rice

Method of preparation :

Wash the spinach, onion cut into small cubes.

Heat the butter and olive oil in a deep pan, pour in the onion and fry until golden.

Then add the tomato puree, fry for another 5 minutes and put the spinach in portions, stirring all the time.

When the leaves are fried, pour enough water to cover them. Cover with a lid and simmer for 15 minutes (spinach color will lose its saturation).

At this stage, pour the rice into the bowl. If the water has evaporated, add more and cook for 15 minutes.

Garnish the dish with yogurt.
