How To Cook Stewed Veal With Vegetables And Mashed Potatoes - Recipe

Necessary products:

 

for the puree

 

  • 500 grams of potatoes
  • salt, pepper
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh milk

 

for the stewed

 

  • 400 grams of beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 peeled carrot
  • 50 grams of canned or frozen peas
  • 2 sprigs of fresh parsley
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

 

Method of preparation:

 

Pour about a liter and a half of water into a saucepan and add salt. Boil the potatoes and cool them in ice water. Peel a squash, grate it and put it in a bowl. Add the butter, milk, salt and pepper. Knead with a puree press and stir.

In another pan, heat the butter and fry the onion and veal, cut into pieces. Stew for 10 minutes and add finely chopped carrots, peas and tomato paste. Add 2 tablespoons of water and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Stew the dish for 20 minutes, cook on low heat. Cut the fresh parsley and sprinkle the dish. Finally, add the cornflour and stir until the sauce thickens. Put mashed potatoes on a plate and garnish with stewed beef. Serve and eat with pleasure.
