Required products :

  • 500-520 grams of flour
  • 250 milliliters of fresh milk (warm)
  • 60 grams of butter
  • 60 milliliters of warm water
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar crystals
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • strawberry jam for the filling

 

Method of preparation :

Mix the milk and water, dissolve the yeast and sugar in them. After 10 minutes, add the melted butter, egg, salt, mix well.

Pour the flour (sifted) into 3-4 parts in the milk-egg combination and knead the dough, which should be soft and sticky, but separate from the walls of the bowl.

Put it in a bowl, cover with foil or towel and leave in a warm place for at least an hour.

When it rises, roll out a layer 1-1.5 cm thick and cut circles with a cup of suitable diameter. Cover them with a towel or plastic wrap for 15-20 minutes.

Fry them in very hot oil until they turn red on both sides. Remove on paper and allow to cool slightly. Then cut on one side and fill with strawberry jam using a pastry syringe.
