How To Cook Stuffed Leeks With Minced Meat - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Stuffed leeks with minced meat (2 options)". Delicious recipe.

Necessary products:

  • 3 large leek stalks
  • 500 grams of the minced meat mixture
  • 1 egg
  • 2 - 3 cloves of garlic
  • parsley
  • 100 - 130 grams of yellow cheese (if you decide to bake leeks)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • frying oil

Method of preparation:

Wash and dry the leek, cut the lower part (with the root) and cut the stem into pieces about 6 cm long. Carefully divide each of them into two-layer tubes. Cut the inside of the tubes into thin straws and fry them until golden in hot oil. Chop the parsley, mash the garlic.

Beat the egg in the minced meat and stir. Add parsley and garlic, fried leeks, salt, pepper. Mix everything carefully. Fill the leeks tightly with the minced meat.

Heat oil and briefly fry the ends of the "tubes" of leeks in it to form a hard crust of minced meat and no juice. Then reduce the heat and fry on both sides.

From now on you have two options:

- Pour a little hot water or broth into the pan, close the container with a lid and when the liquid boils, put the stuffed leeks and let it simmer for about 20 minutes;

- Arrange the "tubes" in a pan greased with grease and put to bake in the oven, you can sprinkle with grated cheese and bake at 180 - 200 degrees for about 20 - 25 minutes.

Enjoy your meal!
