Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 5 eggs
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 3 oranges
  • 500 grams of pie crusts
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 200 grams of sour cream or thick natural yogurt
  • 180 milliliters of olive oil

For syrup:

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 400 grams of sugar
  • 350 milliliters of water
  • 1 orange

Method of preparation :

Make the syrup first. Squeeze the orange juice, pour it into a saucepan, add the water, sugar, cinnamon and half the orange. Place on the stove and cook for 8-10 minutes, then turn off the stove and allow the syrup to cool, during which time take up the pie.

Grease a pan measuring 20 x 30 cm with olive oil and crush the crusts in it. Cut half an orange into thin slices, and drain the juice from the remaining citrus and grate their peels.

Mix the cream (yogurt) with the sugar, add the crusts, pour the olive oil and fruit juice. Then beat the eggs in this mixture, put the baking powder and beat with a wire whisk for a few minutes.

Cover the shredded crusts with the mixture and spread it evenly with a spoon. Arrange the orange slices on the surface and place the pan in the oven turned on at 180 degrees.

Pour the hot syrup over the hot pie and let it stand for about an hour so that the dough absorbs the sweet liquid.

Enjoy your meal!
