Required products :

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3/4 tea cup low-fat milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon cream
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 loaf of bread, cut into slices about 2 centimeters thick
  • unsalted oil
  • vegetable oil

For garnish :

  • honey
  • fresh fruit

Method of preparation :

  • Beat the eggs in a large bowl using a fork or stirrer.
  • Add the milk, cream, honey, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. Stir well.
  • Pour the mixture into a large pan and distribute 1/2 of the slices in it.
  • Allow the bread to soak with the egg mixture for 1 minute, turning it periodically.
  • Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons butter and 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Distribute the remaining slices in the egg mixture and let them soak in the egg mixture.
  • Clean the pan and reheat the same amount of oil and vegetable oil. Fry the slices.
  • Serve them warm, garnished with honey and fresh fruit.
