How To Cook Turkey Legs In A Bread Bed With Bacon And Apples - Recipe

Required products :

  • 170 grams of bacon
  • 1/2 connection celery stalks
  • 2 apples
  • onion head
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • black pepper and salt to taste
  • 1 sliced ​​bread
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2.7 kilograms of turkey legs
  • 1 teaspoon chicken broth


Method of preparation :

Cut the bacon into thin cubes and fry it in a deep pan until crispy.

Meanwhile, wash and finely chop the celery, onion and apples. Add them to the already crispy bacon and fry until soft (about 5 minutes). Then turn off the heat and put the spices in the mixture (thyme, sage, pepper and salt).

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees, dry the bread in it, cut into small cubes until a crispy crust forms on the surface.

Meanwhile, saturate the parsley.

When the breadcrumbs are ready, pour them over the vegetables, add the parsley, mix well and pour over the chicken broth. Transfer the mixture to a deep pan.

Coat the legs with olive oil, season with pepper, salt and arrange them on the products in the pan.

Place in a preheated oven for an hour and a half, without covering or closing the pan with foil or a lid.

When the dish acquires a brownish crispy crust, it is ready. Do not rush to serve, wait 10 minutes after baking.

Before serving, pour the juice.
