Necessary products:

  • 800 milliliters of coconut milk
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons sweetener (maple syrup, coconut nectar or other)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 100 grams of vegan chocolate (optional)

Method of preparation:

Shake the coconut milk and pour into a bowl. Beat until homogenous.
Add the cocoa, salt, vanilla extract and stir while adding the sweetener.
Beat with a mixer for 1 minute or by hand until it starts to thicken (about 2-3 minutes).
Pour the mousse mixture into bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Finely chop the chocolate. Sprinkle on top and serve.

The vegan chocolate mousse will last a few days in the fridge, but I believe it will end as soon as you serve it.

If you have no problems consuming animal products, you can replace vegan chocolate with plain and use liquefied honey instead of maple syrup.
