Sangria is an emblematic drink for Spain - the combination of fruit and wine is familiar to lovers of the Mediterranean country. The good thing is that you can easily prepare this sangria at home. And if in the summer we prefer it cold and cooling, then now we present you an option suitable for cold winter evenings, when you need something tasty and warming. And if you want to impress your guests during the Christmas holidays, be sure to follow the steps below and enjoy a different and very tasty holiday drink.

Required products :

  • 750 milliliters of dry red wine (eg merlot)
  • 2 teaspoons of pomegranate juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon water
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 2 small oranges
  • 1/3 tea cup of pomegranate seeds

Method of preparation :

Put the wine, pomegranate and orange juices together with the sugar, water and brandy in a saucepan. Turn on the stove at low temperature, place the pan on it and stir its contents from time to time. When the liquid starts to simmer and light bubbles form, remove from the heat.

Cut the two oranges into thin round slices, add them to the sangria, add the pomegranate seeds. Leave the drink for 20 minutes to cool and become pleasant to eat.

Serve in cups, putting the fruit in each.
