Required products :

  • 200 grams of wholemeal flour
  • 50 grams of white flour
  • 50 grams of oatmeal
  • 3/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 15 grams of olive oil, cold pressed
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 250 milliliters of buttermilk

For sprinkling :

  • cold pressed olive oil
  • fresh rosemary
  • garlic cloves
  • coarse Himalayan salt

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, oatmeal, salt and baking soda. Stir.
  • Add the garlic, cold pressed olive oil and rosemary and stir again.
  • Gradually add the buttermilk and knead a soft dough.
  • In a greased pan, shape the cake with a diameter of about 18 centimeters and make 2-3 cuts on top with a sharp knife.
  • Sprinkle with olive oil, fresh rosemary, garlic slices and Himalayan salt.
  • Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the bread starts to make a hollow sound when you knock on it.
  • Cool on a wire rack for 15-20 minutes before cutting or breaking.
