How to pickle cabbage step by step instructions with photos

Step 1

 

For work, we need fresh cabbage - 1 kg, carrots - 200 grams, salt - 1 tbsp. l., sunflower oil - 75 ml, 60 ml of vinegar, 100 grams of sugar, garlic - 3 cloves, 2 bay leaves, 3 peas of black peppercorns, 2 peas of allspice, 250 ml of water, grater, knife, saucepan, kitchen board.

Step 2

 

Peel and grate the carrots on a grater with large holes.

Step 3

 

Slice the cabbage very thinly. It is better to use a special grater for this.

Step 4

 

Combine carrots and cabbage, mash well with your hands.

Step 5

 

Bring to a boil water with sunflower oil, salt, sugar, peppers, garlic, bay leaf. Boil 1 minute. Add vinegar.

Step 6

 

Pour cabbage with hot marinade.

Step 7

 

Mash cabbage again. Leave until completely cooled, and then send in the refrigerator for 1 day.

Step 8

 

Pickled cabbage is ready.
