Adequate storage of fruits is an extremely important part of providing the body with substances important for consumption. Otherwise, their amount can be reduced, and with it the health benefits.
It is important to know that different fruits often require different ways of storage in order to retain their qualities.
Grapes
This fruit should be washed and allowed to dry, then stored in the refrigerator without separating the berries from the stem. If desired for consumption, remove a certain amount and wash again.
Watermelon and melon
Watermelon usually cannot be consumed in one meal. It is recommended to eat the fruit within 30 minutes after cutting. The rest should be wrapped in a plastic bag and stored in the refrigerator.
Melon should be stored in the same way as watermelon, as an important condition is to remove the seeds in the middle both before consumption and before placing it in the refrigerator.
Berries
When left in a damp package, whether plastic, paper or otherwise, the strawberries begin to spoil. Therefore, it is advisable to buy a smaller amount of them and consume them while they are still fit.
However, when strawberries need to be stored for longer, their leaves should first be removed and the fruit washed well. They must then be left to dry for some time and then placed in an airtight container.
