How to cut a stalk from a cabbage

Cabbage is an ingredient in many dishes: salads, casseroles, cabbage rolls, first and second courses. Cabbage is boiled, stewed, baked, stuffed.

Most recipes call for removing the stalk from the cabbage before cooking it. Removing the stalk from the cabbage often shortens the cooking time of the entire dish and also makes it easier to cut the rest of the cabbage.

There are several ways to remove the stalk from cabbage. Everything will depend on the form in which you need cabbage for subsequent work. Removing the stalk from whole cabbages is somewhat different than removing the stalk from halves or even quarters of cabbage. In any case, this work is not very time-consuming and you can do it pretty quickly.
