How To Save On Drinks

Drinks are a significant part of our diet. Saving part of the budget on drinks is actually not difficult. It is enough just to exclude the consumption of unnecessary liquid and to worry about the quality of the necessary liquid. Let's find out how to stabilize the costs of drinks without depriving yourself of a clean and high-quality source of moisture.

Everyone knows that water is the key to life. About 65% of our body is water. To maintain normal functioning and vital activity, we need to supply it with water.

The general norm of water consumption is 2-2.5 l/day. It can be a little more or less, depending on lifestyle, age, gender, place of residence, state of health and other factors.

In any case, drinks are a significant part of our diet. Let's find out how to stabilize the costs of drinks without depriving yourself of a clean and high-quality source of moisture.

Water

Everyone knows that tap water is not suitable for drinking. There are several ways to provide yourself with drinking water:

  • Water from columns/wells/sources. This is definitely a good and cheap option. In cities that provide residents with such an opportunity, it is usually free. So, in this case, it is enough just not to be lazy to collect water from such institutions. The downside is that such an opportunity is not available everywhere.

  • Bottled water from the supermarket. This is the most inappropriate option. Such water is usually expensive, and in terms of its chemical composition and quality, it often does not differ in any way from tap water. After all, this is an extreme option - it should be used only when there is no other way out.

  • Water filter. This is quite a profitable option. At least if you choose to buy a long-term water filter once or buy drinking water bottles every day. However, this option will always depend on the place of residence and the chemical composition of the water that enters the water supply. If you want to get a really high-quality result, you should take an interest in this and choose a water purification system according to the situation. This is where the asking price can be very diverse.

So, as you can see, the best option is when the city is ready to provide its residents with drinking water.

In second place, you can put independent water filtration. And in the last case, buying bottled water from a store is expensive and, of course, not useful.

Increase the amount of drinking water in your diet - it quenches your thirst best and you will drink less other drinks . Also, do not forget to always take a bottle of water with you when you leave the house - for a walk, study, work. This will save you from having to buy water at the store when you get thirsty.

Juices, soft drinks, carbonated sweet drinks

Make it a habit to refuse such purchases altogether. First of all, there is no benefit from such drinks . In order not to promise bright packaging and advertising, it is almost impossible to find juices or soft drinks in a supermarket without harmful additives and preservatives, which contain truly useful substances. Only natural juices drunk immediately after preparation are useful for our body. And the juices and soft drinks that we see on store shelves are, in fact, no better than sweet carbonated drinks . Such a product is a mixture of sweeteners and flavoring additives. They don't quench thirst, on the contrary. After consuming such drinks , a coating of sugar and flavoring additives remains on the tongue, which encourages us to drink more and more.

Such drinks are expensive. In this case, there are no "buts". You need to give up buying such drinks once and for all — it will save both your wallet and your health.

If it is difficult for you to give up such a variety of drinks , prepare them at home. Boil compote, prepare lemonade, close natural juices. After all, buy a juicer and treat yourself to fresh juices. In any case, the cost of equipment and ingredients (especially if you make drinks with seasonal and local vegetables and fruits) will cost you less.

Coffee and tea

Drinks that have the right and place to be. Hot drinks are present in our diet every day. They can be both useful and harmful to our health. What about our wallet?

Lately, the prices of tea and coffee, like everything else, have jumped up. Do not forget about a few tips when choosing coffee / tea, which, although the price will not return to the previous level, but will allow you to purchase at least a decent product.

  • Buy at wholesale markets. In this way, you can save up to 25%. Coffee and tea have a long shelf life and are not very demanding on the conditions - it is enough to provide a dry, cool and dark place and airtight dishes.

  • No matter how convenient they are to prepare, give up packaged teas or instant coffee. Often the price of such a product is higher, some lower, and the quantity is smaller.

As in the case of plain water, if you like to buy tea or coffee from vending machines or something, while walking/studying/working, you can also save on this . Buy a thermal cup or a thermos and make yourself coffee or tea before leaving the house.
