What is keto and what is it eaten with? We will tell you about a diet popular among the stars and offer a menu for one day. Try it, maybe you'll like it!

The idea behind the keto diet is to switch to a low-carb, high-fat diet. To be precise, then - 70% fat, and leave 30% for proteins and carbohydrates. Moreover, carbohydrates from them will be only 5%.

How it works? With a normal diet, our body uses carbohydrates as the main source of energy, and fats are stored “in reserve”. When a carbohydrate deficiency is created, the body switches on an additional process - ketosis or the breakdown of fats.

What you will have to give up: cereals, fruits, starchy and sweet vegetables (carrots, beets, potatoes), legumes (except green beans), carbonated drinks, alcohol, sweets and pastries.

Of the positive aspects, in addition to gradual weight loss:

Decreased blood glucose levels; Increased energy, increased mental and physical activity; Improvement in appearance.

If you still decide, it is recommended: do not worry about the fat content of the diet, increase the amount of water - at least 1.5-2 liters daily and no snacks. Strictly on the menu!

How quickly you get into ketosis depends on your lifestyle. With physical exertion, the process should start for 2-3 days, and with a sedentary lifestyle - after 7-9 days.

The main permitted products: all types of fish and meat, seafood, eggs and high-fat dairy products, sausages, nuts, mushrooms, cabbage, zucchini and more.
