Our diet can help regulate temperature and warm up faster. Certainly, one of the first things we do after we are frozen is to drink a hot tea or eat a hot soup. This certainly works, but here are a few more foods that have the same effect.
Food and fluids stimulate a rise in body temperature. Eat more foods rich in carbohydrates as they provide energy quickly. If you are going to be cold all day, bring food rich in protein and fat, as well as enough water.
It may seem absurd, but the body heats up to warm the water, so in addition to hydrating, you stimulate the body to burn more calories in an effort to warm up (you can drink any kind of cold drink instead of water).
Green tea (and coffee)Caffeine stimulates the metabolism, and the catechins in it are responsible for the thermogenic properties.
Whole grainsWhole grains require more time to digest than simple carbohydrates such as white bread and pasta. In this way, not only do you get full for longer, but your body also works hard and warms up to absorb food.
GingerIf you consume it raw, you are guaranteed to raise your temperature quickly, which may not be unexpected. But keep in mind that not every hot food will work for you, hot peppers will make you sweat, which actually makes you cool down instead of warming up.
PeanutsPeanuts are also considered a warming food because they have the ability to stimulate blood circulation and speed up metabolism.
Coconut oilCoconut oil contains healthy fats that are broken down in the body and converted into energy. This action raises body temperature.
BananasThe delicious dense fruits are rich in B vitamins and magnesium, which stimulate the thyroid and adrenal glands to regulate body temperature in cold weather.
