If you have a cold, make a cup of warm black or green tea with a teaspoon of honey and two slices of lemon. It is very important not to add honey and lemon to a hot drink, because then they will lose their useful properties. The drink is one of the classics in the fight against colds.
Raspberry tea with linden
Make strong linden tea, add dried fruit and raspberry leaves. Allow to simmer for 30 minutes. If you do not have raspberries, use raspberry jam.
Rosehip tea
It is no secret that rose hips are an ideal source of vitamin C. Grind dried rose hips (3 tablespoons) pour 0.500 liters of boiling water and leave the liquid to boil overnight in a thermos. In the morning strain and drink 1/2 cup 4 times a day 30 minutes before eating.
Cranberry drink
Cranberries are unique in their bactericidal properties. To make a drink from them, grind or mash the fruit with granulated sugar in a ratio of 3: 1. Pour 2 tablespoons of the mixture with 0.500 liters of warm water.
Hot milk with living water
If you have a cough, make hot milk with alkaline water (living water). Such a drink helps expectoration.
Milk with garlic
The combination of fresh milk and garlic is an exceptional tool that can get you on your feet overnight. All you need to do is add 10 drops of garlic juice to the warm milk and drink it before bed.
Dried fruit compote (oshav)
Oshav - tested by all of us "medicine" from childhood. Decoction of dried fruits has a general strengthening and relieving cold effect. You need 100 grams of fruit (if they are very large, cut them), wash them well with warm water. First, boil apples and pears until soft (about 30 minutes), add sugar (3 tablespoons per 1 liter of water), then dried apricots and prunes, and 5 minutes before removing the compote from the stove - raisins. You can add orange or lemon juice, as well as honey.
Ginger tea with lemon
During the cool autumn days we can strengthen our immunity and increase our efficiency with tea, for the making of which we need: 1 glass of hot water, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger and a pinch of cinnamon. . You can also add ground mint leaves. And remember that lemon and honey are not put in hot tea.
Mulled wine
Delicious and useful drink that warms and is an excellent remedy for colds. Mix 100 milliliters of water and suitable herbs of your choice, put on the stove and bring to a boil, then allow the liquid to boil for 10 minutes and strain. Cut the orange into circles. Make a combination of red wine, herbal decoction, sugar and pieces of orange. Heat the drink on the stove, but do not boil. You can also add raisins, apples, honey. It is taken hot, preferably before bedtime, and put your feet on an electric pillow or warm up in another way.
Chamomile tea
Chamomile is a mild anti-inflammatory agent. In combination with linden blossom and honey it turns into a great drink for colds. Tea is made from: 1 teaspoon of chamomile, 1 teaspoon of linden and a glass of boiling water. Let it brew for 20 minutes, strain and drink 1/3 cup of tea three times daily before meals. You can also add honey if you wish.
