We will introduce you to the foods and products that are good to consume and those that have an adverse effect in the presence of migraine.

Migraine is a disease that is characterized by attacks of severe headaches caused by spasms of blood vessels in the brain.

If you have this health problem, the food you eat is not unimportant. It can significantly affect your condition. Therefore, we will introduce you to foods and products that are good to consume and those that have an adverse effect in the presence of migraine.

  • decaffeinated coffee and carbonated beverages, carbonated water;
  • fresh eggs, fresh meat, fish and steamed poultry;
  • dairy products (2% milk, melted cheese or low-fat yellow cheese);
  • cereals, pasta and pasta;
  • fresh vegetables (carrots, asparagus, fried onions or peeled tomatoes, potatoes, legumes, zucchini, beets, squash);
  • fresh fruits (pears, apples, peaches, apricots);
  • homemade soups;
  • spices;
  • sugar, cakes, various types of honey, biscuits, jellies, jam;
  • fresh fruit (grapefruit, carrots, celery, spinach, oranges, grapes, oranges, beets, cucumbers;
  • products containing magnesium - wild salmon, pumpkin seeds, flounder, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, quinoa, flaxseed.

It is also recommended to consume products rich in vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), which protect brain cells from oxidative damage, contribute to the absorption of iron, zinc, folic acid, vitamins B3, B12, B1. Yeah, they're like that:

  • lean beef;
  • the lamb;
  • broccoli;
  • Brussels sprouts.

Harmful and dangerous for migraine products, the intake of which should be limited:

  • strong coffee and tea, hot chocolate;
  • sausages, bacon, sausages, ham, smoked beef, caviar;
  • parmesan, strained yogurt, cream (not more than 1/2 cup daily);
  • sourdough bread, homemade yeast dough;
  • fresh onion;
  • bananas, avocados, prunes, dates, raisins, citrus fruits (tangerines, oranges, grapefruit, lemons), pineapple - no more than 1/2 cup per day;
  • concentrated meat broths, quick soups that contain monosodium glutamate, yeast;
  • ice cream (not more than 1 cup), products with the presence of chocolate in the composition (up to 15 grams).

Foods to exclude from the menu:

  • alcoholic beverages (vermouth, beer, etc.), soft drinks in metal cans;
  • salted, pickled, smoked, fresh, canned or spicy products;
  • well-ripened cheeses;
  • all prohibited food additives;
  • soy sauce, marinated and canned legumes and soy products;
  • cereals and nuts;
  • snacks with meat.
