A hemangioma is a benign vascular tumor that is found in children immediately after birth. It can also occur during the first month of a baby's life. More often hemangiomas occur in girls (for every 3 girls there is 1 boy with such a problem).

Useful foods for hemangiomas

Much of the diet should consist of protein, 50% of which should be animal. The required number of meals per day is 4 to 6 times. All dishes should be warm, the amount of water consumed should not be less than 1.5 liters. Fats should be mostly vegetable.

The following are recommended for consumption:
  • bread (dried or rusks), non-fat pasta;
  • any fermented milk products (no additives and colorants in them);
  • meat and fish - lean species: chicken, turkey, beef, beef, cod and others; lean ham;
  • 1 egg yolk daily;
  • cereals and porridge (buckwheat, noodles, kneaded nuts, noodles);
  • vegetables: asparagus, beets, carrots, zucchini, squash, tomatoes, celery, parsley;
  • all kinds of fruits, berries and their juices, also compotes and pickles;
  • vegetable fats: corn, pumpkin and sunflower oil, olive oil;
  • rosehip decoction, weak tea and coffee (the latter is good to replace with chicory), which can be sweetened with a little sugar or honey.

All dishes should be boiled, stewed or baked. As for fruits and vegetables, they can also be eaten raw.

Dangerous and harmful foods in hemangiomas

  • freshly baked white and rye breads, butter dough pastries;
  • fatty meats, fish, sausages;
  • confectionery with cream, chocolate, cocoa and cream;
  • margarine, bacon, lard;
  • spicy, fried and overly salty dishes;
  • "heavy" vegetables, including leafy vegetables: radishes, spinach, sorrel, all kinds of cabbage, turnips (yellow turnips), sweet potatoes, leeks, cucumbers;
  • mushrooms;
  • green soup / borscht;
  • spices: sauces, condiments, marinades, canned food;
  • semi-finished products, fast food, fast food, food additives, colorants;
  • strong tea and coffee, alcoholic, sweet carbonated and all kinds of cold drinks.

Listed as harmful foods should be excluded from the menu as they are able to cause tumor growth in the future.
