Nutrition In Hemophilia

Nutrition in hemophilia - which foods are good to eat and which are harmful in the presence of the disease.

Hemophilia is a rare disease of the blood that is inherited and results in clotting problems.

Useful foods for hemophilia

There are no strict rules to be followed by patients, but to restore the blood and improve its clotting it is necessary to consume foods containing salts of phosphorus and calcium, as well as vitamins A, B, C, D. It is also important the body to provide a sufficient amount of vitamin K, which is called the coagulation vitamin (clotting). It can be obtained through the following foods: spinach, lettuce, onions, bananas, garlic , cucumbers, tomatoes, pears, apples, cabbage (especially broccoli, white, cauliflower), hot peppers, egg yolk, cheese, butter, oats, turnips, celery.

To improve the condition of the blood, to increase hemoglobin, to strengthen the walls of blood vessels and to lower cholesterol, it is necessary to include in the menu: liver, fatty fish, citrus fruits, nuts, pomegranate, avocado, beets, juice of cranberries, honey, buckwheat porridge, apple juice, carrots and beets.

Dilute beet juice with apple or carrot initially in a ratio of 1: 1, then reduce the dilution by increasing the concentration of red liquid.

Purified water, green tea, blackcurrant juice, raspberry, viburnum, rosehip decoction - all these drinks are suitable for consumption in hemophilia.

Dangerous and harmful food products:

  • fatty foods - they have a large amount of cholesterol, in addition, they block the absorption of calcium, which is necessary for cell balance;
  • fried, salted or smoked dishes - they contain substances that worsen the composition of the blood, and subsequently occur adverse changes for the whole body;
  • alcohol, sugary sodas and energy drinks destroy and dehydrate blood cells, making it impossible for the blood to function normally;
  • fast food, confectionery fats, semi-finished products, fast food, canned food, sausages, sauces and spices, as well as various food additives - all these products form heavy compounds that blood cells can not use to feed the body. The compounds themselves poison the body with these ballast substances.
