Visceral gout is a form of hyperuricemia (gout) in which not only the joints are affected, but all other human systems and organs.

Hyperuricemia is an increased level of uric acid in the blood. At first, the typical symptoms of gout appear, after which the visceral signs begin to develop. The most common form is gouty nephropathy.

Visceral gout can also manifest itself in the form of obesity or as problems in the cardiovascular system. This is due to impaired metabolism.

Useful foods for visceral gout

To deal with the problem and to regulate uric acid, the patient must adhere to a nutritious diet. The goal is to reduce the content of purines in the body and unload the metabolism. Good results are achieved by adhering to certain rules and principles of nutrition.

The first thing to do is to drink plenty of water to get uric acid out of the body. About 2.5 liters is the required daily amount.

In addition, the patient has to do 1 unloading day a week (for example, fruits or vegetables).

The amount of food consumed should be divided into not less than 5 intakes per day.

To eat certain products and dishes:

  • fruits and vegetables rich in potassium: apricots, melons, peaches, eggplants, pumpkin, carrots, pears, cucumbers, zucchini, peas, cabbage (white);
  • berries, preferably those with a blue color, colored bright red and dark fruits: cranberries, cherries, cherries, blueberries, blackberries (contain substances that lower the level of purines);
  • it is good to add a few drops of lemon juice or blueberry juice to the water;
  • vegetarian soups, all kinds of dishes from dairy products and vegetables, cooked meat and fish (you can bake lightly after cooking);
  • spices: parsley, citric acid, bay leaf, cinnamon, vanilla, dill;
  • drinks: sour, yeast, vegetable and fruit juices, rosehip decoction, bran decoction, weak coffee with milk and tea with lemon;
  • bakery products made from wheat and rye flour, pastries with bran;
  • cow butter and vegetable fats ;
  • confectionery: milk cream, marmalade, honey, candy (except chocolate), apple pudding, fruit jam.

Dangerous and harmful food products for visceral gout

Limit consumption to:
  • butter dough products;
  • chocolate;
  • cauliflower;
  • cocoa;
  • sorrel;
  • spinach;
  • meat;
  • fish.
To completely exclude from the menu:
  • year;
  • alcoholic beverages;
  • all kinds of fried, baked and stewed dishes;
  • smoked products;
  • canned food;
  • sausages;
  • fast food;
  • semi-finished products;
  • jelly meats;
  • by-products;
  • mushrooms;
  • all kinds of spicy and salty dishes;
  • marinades and coupe sauces;
  • mud;
  • strong coffee and tea;
  • soups and sauces based on meat, mushroom and fish broths;
  • products containing colorants and various food additives .

All the products listed above contain purine, the cause of the disease. In addition, it worsens the condition and can lead to serious complications (kidney failure, heart attack, stroke).
