Only 39% Of Employers Provide Water In Our Country

Only 39% of employers in Bulgaria provide water to their employees, and dehydration reduces productivity.

Our body consists of 75% water, only for the blood this percentage is 92, and for the brain - 73. Therefore, its insufficient consumption leads to various health disorders, including headaches, mood swings, problems with memory and concentration . This ultimately adversely affects our productivity in the workplace. Consumption of 8 glasses of water daily is considered adequate. But do Bulgarians consume enough?

It turns out not. A national survey conducted in April this year found that a third of workers consumed less than a liter of water a day. The study is by the Bulgarian Association for Human Management and Alpha Research. Its purpose is to determine what social benefits employers provide to their employees in order to increase their productivity .

According to the data, only 39% of employers in the country provide water to their employees. It is also clear that 53% of people use regular breaks during the working day, and 39% receive vouchers for food and clothing. Less than a third use other social benefits.

Experts find that one third of workers drink less than a liter of water a day, and this amount is insufficient for adequate hydration of the body and has its adverse effects.

It is also clear that 42% of people who consume less than a liter a day at work feel tired almost every day. 34% of employees who consume the same amount at work complain of headaches at least once a week.

On the other hand, 80% of people who drink more than a liter every day while at work say they have high concentration and good vitality.

According to the President of the Bulgarian Association for People Management, the survey clearly shows the contribution of employers to a healthier environment, as according to the data, employees who are provided with water by the employer drink 22% more water per day. This contributes to their higher productivity. She added that providing affordable water in the office is a small but very effective step to improve the work environment and increase employee concentration .
