The vegetable market is increasingly filled with cucumbers grown in greenhouse conditions in violation of production regulations: unscrupulous farmers increase yields by fertilizing them with hormones and growth accelerators.

This approach is necessary to support year-round demand and fulfill orders at various retail outlets. Determining the presence of toxic substances in such products is quite simple based on four main signs.

 

First, a natural cucumber does not have a uniform color, as the sun does not illuminate its entire surface equally. Secondly, if the hormones were unevenly distributed in the vegetables, then one of its parts may be larger.

Thirdly, the fresh harvest has yellow flowers at the ends, while the fruits that have depended on them either do not have them at all, or they fall off easily. Finally, no cucumber grown under normal conditions should be straight.
