Superfoods, Adaptogens: What To Eat To Be Healthy?

Recently, completely unfamiliar products have slowly crept onto store shelves and have ceased to amaze customers.

Recently, completely unfamiliar products have slowly crept onto store shelves and have ceased to amaze customers. Today, even if you haven't tried goji berries, quinoa (which isn't really a whole grain), chia seeds, spirulina, and more, you've probably heard of some superfoods.

Why super? Because it is believed that these products have an incredible concentration of nutrients and (accordingly) are able to have a downright magical effect on our body. Whether this is actually the case is still debated. One thing is clear: in the hope of maintaining your health for many years, it is clearly not worth relying only on superfoods.

However, some of the superfoods are worth a try. For example, quinoa is a great alternative to most cereals for those with gluten intolerance. It can simply be boiled and, mixed with oil (for example, coconut oil), served as a side dish. It can also be boiled and added to salads.

Chia seeds make excellent puddings. For one serving, take 3 tablespoons of seeds and 1 cup of liquid. As a rule, the tastiest thing is obtained if you take vegetable milk (oatmeal, almond, coconut), but in principle, you can safely experiment here. Add honey, vegetable syrups (maple, agave), as well as your favorite fruits and berries to such puddings.

And the legendary goji berries, which at one time were recommended to be used for all troubles, by the way, can be an excellent addition to lazy oatmeal, yogurt, muesli.

However, fashion is a fickle girl. Although the pursuit of superfoods has come to an end, but since a healthy lifestyle is still in trend, miraculous foods are being replaced by powders (and already tablets) from plants - adaptogens.

The main task of adaptogens is to fight stress, which, as you know, is the head of everything: in the sense that the mysterious and sometimes not felt stress is referred to in all health problems in particular and in life in general. So now, if you have long been going to become absolutely healthy and, most importantly, a happy person, start google where to buy maca, ashwagandha or ginseng.

peruvian maca

There are rumors on the Internet that maca root increases male potency (Viagra is resting!), but in fact, maca is good for strengthening immunity and, as we said above, has tonic and antidepressant properties.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha, like Maca, is considered an excellent immune booster. She is also credited with anti-aging (or to be more precise, it is believed that she slows down aging) and even anti-cancer properties.

Ginseng root

Another tonic adaptogen that has a number of properties that can bring the work of our body to a new level. Ginseng root has been successfully used in Chinese medicine and is considered one of the most effective adaptogens.

cordyceps

Also chaga and reisha are mushrooms. And unlike other adaptogens, they have a fairly pronounced specific taste. They are also a powerful tool in dealing with various kinds of stress (emotional, physical) and strengthen the immune system.

To eat or not to eat: that is the question. In the meantime, you are wondering whether it is worth experimenting with superfoods and adaptogens, pay attention to products that you can always buy on the market, in a store or pharmacy, and which, due to their properties, will certainly not be superfluous.

Blueberry. First, it is very tasty. Secondly, it is famous for its large amount of antioxidants, as well as its antiseptic properties. A kind of natural antibiotic. Black chokeberry. It contains a huge amount of usefulness: iodine, copper, iron, fluorine, manganese... Do you suffer from pressure surges? Then include it in your diet. Sea buckthorn is full of vitamins. Her oil is considered almost magical! The berry is also famous for its healing properties. Flax seeds can rightfully be considered an alternative to chia. They also have thickening properties (for example, a decoction of them looks like jelly), but in addition they contain omega-3, protein, fiber, and all kinds of trace elements necessary for our body. Add them to salads and, if you like, smoothies. Blackcurrant is good not only as a jam. First of all,

Be healthy!
