What dishes and pastries should a young hostess start with? Of course, those that do not require much experience and skills in cooking. From what our mothers once started cooking, who are now home cooking gurus.

What dishes and pastries should a young hostess start with? Of course, those that do not require much experience and skills in cooking. From what our mothers once started cooking, who are now home cooking gurus.

From classic soups, we offer to cook cabbage soup from sauerkraut. No more difficult than a simple potato soup, but tastier at times.

Simple sauerkraut soup

Ingredients:

350 g chicken fillet, 250 g sauerkraut, 2 potatoes, carrots, onions, 2-3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil, one bay leaf, 3-5 black peppercorns, salt to taste, herbs to taste.

Wash the chicken fillet and put it in a pot of clean water. Put on the stove and after boiling, salt to taste. Boil for 30-35 minutes over medium heat. Peel the onions and carrots, cut into cubes and fry in a pan in hot vegetable oil until soft over medium heat. Stir the vegetables occasionally with a spatula.

When the chicken is cooked, add cabbage to the broth. You can pre-cut it a little with a knife so that the strips are not long. Also add salt, pepper, bay leaf. Simmer for 10-15 minutes over medium heat, then add the peeled, diced potatoes. Cook for another 10-15 minutes, then add the fried vegetables and chopped herbs. Cook for a couple more minutes. Let the soup brew a little and pour into bowls. Delicious with sour cream and black bread. The next day it tastes even better!

From the second courses, casseroles and fried pieces of chicken, fish or meat come to the rescue. We share a simple but original chicken recipe below. You can boil potatoes, rice or buckwheat for a side dish (follow the instructions on the package).

Chicken in 5 minutes

Ingredients:

350 g chicken fillet, a spoonful of olive oil, a spoonful of mustard, half a spoonful of honey, 25 ml of orange juice, 2 tbsp. l. cream, a bunch of parsley.

This chicken is cooked without salt, but if you want, add to taste. Wash the chicken fillet and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut into pieces about 0.7 cm thick across the grain.

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, fry the pieces of meat over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. In a bowl, mix cream, orange juice, mustard and honey. Pour into the pan and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Add finely chopped parsley and switch off. Serve with garnish.

Macaroni casserole with cheese

Ingredients:

250 g durum wheat pasta, 150 g hard cheese, 50 g tomato sauce, salt to taste, a spoonful of vegetable oil.

Boil macaroni in salted water according to package instructions. Drain cooked pasta into a colander. Grease a baking dish with a diameter of 24 cm with vegetable oil. Lay out half of the pasta in the first layer. Cheese grate on a fine grater. Leave some of the cheese for the top layer, sprinkle the rest with pasta. Lay the remaining pasta in the next layer and brush with tomato sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

For tea for dessert, bake an ordinary charlotte or make a cottage cheese casserole. Everything is simple and delicious!

Charlotte fast

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar (glass - 250 ml), 1 cup flour, 3-4 eggs (see the size of the eggs), 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 350 g apples, 1/2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.

Beat sugar with eggs until white foam. Sift flour and mix with baking powder. Add to the mixture and beat again until a homogeneous dough. Don't shake too long. Wash the apples, dry them, cut the core and cut into pieces.

Pour the apple slices into the dough and mix. Grease a 24 cm diameter mold with vegetable oil. Lay out the dough and smooth it out. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. It should come out of the cake dry. Cool until warm and transfer to a platter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Cottage cheese casserole

Ingredients:

600 g cottage cheese 9 percent, 2 eggs, 4 tbsp. l. semolina, 5 tbsp. l. sour cream, 3-4 tbsp. l. sugar, 50 g raisins, a bag of vanilla sugar (8 g), a pinch of salt, a piece of butter for greasing the form.

Mix semolina with sour cream and put aside. Pour boiling water over raisins. Punch the cottage cheese with a blender or grind through a sieve, then the casserole will melt in your mouth. Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until smooth. Add cottage cheese, sour cream with semolina and strained raisins to the eggs.

Grease a baking dish 22-24 cm in diameter with butter and lay out the mass. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees. Serve warm or completely cool.

Each time the dishes and pastries will turn out better and better! Try cooking and pleasantly surprise your loved ones!
