Around constantly taldychat that a day you need to drink at least two liters of water. They say it guarantees beauty, health and, apparently, a long life. Why not a liter or four, where did such a figure come from? What if you don't want to drink that much? And in general, I only drink coffee, it turns out that a threat looms over my bright future?
In its 1945 publication, the National Food and Nutrition Board of the United States recommended that the average adult drink about 2.5 liters of water per day. Everyone around loves to quote exactly this fact (cutting off half a liter) and have no idea about the second part of the recommendation. And it says that the specified norm includes drinking water, other drinks and any food - both liquid and solid (meatballs and bread too!).
60 years later, the “norm” has been slightly raised. In their publication on the diet, the US Institute of Medicine recommended that women drink 2.7 liters of water per day, men - 3.7 liters. Again, this includes all the liquid obtained from any drinks and food.
By the way, the World Health Organization offers such a simple formula for calculating the required amount of drinking water per day - 30 ml per kilogram of weight.
It should be understood that this amount does not take into account your state of health, gastronomic preferences, weather conditions and physical activity. Therefore, the rule is simple - drink as much and when you want. In addition, coffee (4-5 cups a day) has long been rehabilitated.
You have probably heard more than once that you should not drink during and immediately after a meal. It seems to interfere with digestion. In reality, however, it is just the opposite! Doctors believe that it is water that promotes good digestion and thins food, having a beneficial effect on, sorry, stool.
And some coaches in sports clubs use horror stories about “overdose” of fluids. If you drink a lot (very directly) a lot of water and do not have time to “breathe” and “sweat” everything, then you will create a threat to your life. But replenishing water reserves during active training is necessary! Just take a small bottle of mineral - and it's convenient, and you won't overdrink.
The next fact unconfirmed by science is that the more I drink, the better ... (insert as desired) I feel / I look more beautiful / I become younger. Unfortunately, not everything is so simple. You need to drink, of course, but you are unlikely to become more beautiful from this.
An alternative to tea, coffee, super sweet store-bought juices can be easy-to-prepare drinks based on ordinary drinking water. Keep in mind that, depending on where you live, filtered or boiled water should be used if the tap water does not meet quality standards.
So, we take two liters of water, ice cubes (if desired), a graph or a jug. We throw a couple of slices of lemon and a piece (about the size of a small finger) of fresh ginger into a jug. Or 5-6 slices of fresh cucumber and a branch of dill. Basil, rosemary, mint, fresh berries, any kind of citrus will do. Turn on your fantasy!
