Life without sweets is bland and boring. But it's no secret that a lot of sweets are empty calories and even harmful. How to be? The answer is one and only: choose correctly!

"The right sweets" are very useful for both children and adults with a sweet tooth, besides, if they are eaten at the "right" time of day and in moderation, there will be no harm to the figure. What sweets are useful and what exactly?

 Honey

This useful product, given by nature itself, can completely replace sugar. Moreover, unlike sugar, in which one of the substances needed by the body is glucose, honey contains up to 70% of useful substances: folic and pantothenic acids, vitamins B2, PP, C, B6, E, K and H, as well as magnesium, calcium , sodium, iodine and iron. In addition, enzymes contained in honey improve digestion and improve appetite, which gives food the opportunity to be absorbed better. Nutritionists recommend consuming up to two tablespoons of honey per day - this is an excellent prevention of many diseases and does no harm to the figure.

Dried fruits

Would you like a candy? Eat dried fruit! Raisins, dried apricots, prunes are not only sweet, but also very useful, especially for the heart and blood vessels, as they contain such minerals as potassium, sodium, and iron. Dried fruits are rich in coarse fiber, and therefore not only satisfy hunger, but also contribute to the excellent functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Do not forget about the "homeland" dried fruits - apples and pears. For example, dried apples contain a lot of pectin, and pears have the ability to remove heavy metals from the body. The recommended rate of any dried fruit is 30 g. per day

Black chocolate

This sweetness with bitterness helps to regulate blood pressure in case of hypotension, helps to strengthen blood vessels, in addition, chocolate has a positive effect on the nervous system and helps to cope with depression. It is indispensable for mental stress - 50 g and the brain will cope with any most difficult task. But you shouldn't overeat - chocolate is high in calories - the daily norm is no more than 30 grams.

Marmalade

This candy contains useful pectin substances. They reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood, remove toxins, improve the work of the gastrointestinal tract, and, importantly, pectin inhibits the development of cancer cells.

The most useful marmalade is made from apples, black currants, plums and apricots. It is very important to learn how to choose marmalade, because not all of it is equally useful. Stop the choice on fruit and berry marmalade, in addition, the packaging should indicate that the product contains pectin compounds. "Useful" norm - 20-30 gr. per day

Jelly, jelly

A great alternative to marmalade is its relative, jelly. It contains the same useful substances, but only if you learn how to prepare jelly yourself from natural juice and gelatin, and not from a packaged powder containing sugar, artificial colors and preservatives

The same applies to the oldest sweet of Slavic origin - jelly. It can be cooked from any fruit, and additional usefulness will be provided by honey, which can be added instead of sugar.

Marshmallow, pastila

Pectins also make these sweets useful, without which marshmallows and pastillas are empty calories. That is why do not forget to read the information on the packaging, choosing products only from proven manufacturers. By the way, there are many recipes for making marshmallows and pastille at home. Try to please your family with homemade sweets, but let them not forget about the sense of measure - up to 50 gr. per day

Ice cream, sorbet

High-quality creamy ice cream in moderate doses will supply the body with calcium, but fruit ice cream is an ideal option for those who follow a diet. An alternative is a light, vitamin sorbet. Many call it frozen juice, this is not entirely true, but it does not change the essence - fruit sorbet, rich in vitamins, is an ideal useful product, especially in the summer heat.

candied fruit

Berries, fruits and even vegetables cooked in sugar syrup, and then dried - candied fruits - one of the oldest delicacies of Eastern origin. Since candied fruits are cooked in sugar syrup, they contain quite a lot of sugar, but they also contain a large amount of fiber, which improves digestion, and many different trace elements and vitamins. Therefore, if you follow the norm - 30 gr. per day, then candied fruits, especially homemade ones, will only be useful.

The choice of candied fruits is huge, so you need to choose them correctly. The bright color of the product indicates that dyes have been added to the candied fruit (it is good if it is natural), so it is better to choose pale candied fruits - they are more natural and, therefore, useful.

Wagashi

These are Japanese cakes that contain only natural ingredients: wheat, red beans, agar-agar, rice, chestnuts, various herbs and tea. There is practically no sugar in wagasa, and lovers of traditional cakes may find them unsweet at first, so tea with the addition of honey will be very useful here. There are 25 varieties of wagashi, each of which is a small culinary masterpiece, and their preparation is a form of culinary art.

General advice

The first half of the day - the time of physical and mental exertion - are the best hours for gourmets with a sweet tooth, and when buying treats in the store, pay attention not only to the expiration date, but also to the composition of the product.
