There are various vegetable oils on the market . Each of them brings certain benefits to the body, which are due to the elements included in the composition. In the following lines we will indicate some of the most common varieties.
We use two types of sunflower oil: refined and unrefined. Of course, the unrefined is better absorbed and is more useful. Vegetable oil is a food product, it contains vitamins (groups A, D, E and F) and trace elements. Sunflower oil does not contain cholesterol because it does not contain animal fats, it even helps to rid the body of it, which protects the walls of blood vessels from blood clots and atherosclerosis.
It is recommended for use in people with diseases of the cardiovascular system and in disorders of cerebral circulation. In folk medicine, this product is used to treat toothache, diseases of the intestines, stomach, thrombophlebitis, diseases of the lungs and liver. In cosmetics it is used in aromatherapy.
Olive oil is a vegetable fat with a maximum concentration of nutrients. Among the main ones are: oleic and linoleic acids, omega-9 fatty acids, vitamins A, D, E, K.
Olive oil has a complex effect on various systems and organs. The acids in its composition contribute to lowering cholesterol levels, fights high blood pressure. The use of the product helps to clean the blood vessels, which means that many cardiovascular diseases are prevented.
It has a beneficial effect on olive oil and the digestive system, improves the functioning of the stomach and intestines. It is taken as a prophylactic against gastritis.
Corn oilCorn oil, in addition to unsaturated fatty acids, also contains phosphatides. Linolenic and arachidonic acids in the product are involved in many metabolic processes, refer to substances that help rid the body of harmful cholesterol.
This oil is rich in biologically active substances that are part of cell membranes. Phosphatides are especially useful for brain tissue. The product contains vitamins from groups F, B1, PP, provitamin A and the special substance tocopherol.
Lecithin in corn oil prevents the accumulation of cholesterol in blood vessels and thus reduces the risk of blood clots, reduces fatigue and nervous tension accumulated during the day, improves metabolism, neutralizes fermentation in the intestine, increases tone.
The use of natural, unrefined corn oil helps with diabetes, obesity, atherosclerosis. If you use it to treat the gallbladder, then the functions of the bile return to normal within 1-2 hours after oral administration.
Sea buckthorn oilSea buckthorn oil is used externally to treat burns, skin damage from sunlight, bedsores, boils, ulcers, abscesses; successfully applied in gynecology; It is used to treat ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, in chronic inflammatory processes of the larynx and throat. The oil quickly copes with pharyngitis, rhinitis and other diseases of the nasopharynx; has antimicrobial properties and is recommended for the treatment of sore throats, tonsillitis and others.
Internal intake of sea buckthorn oil is contraindicated for people suffering from pancreatitis, acute cholecystitis and other diseases of the pancreas. Not recommended for those who are prone to stomach upsets and diarrhea.
Linseed oilIn terms of biological value, flaxseed oil deservedly takes first place. Flax seeds contain 46% vitamin F and a large amount of vitamins A and E. It is rich in valuable biologically active substances, unsaturated acids and other important human elements.
This oil is widely used in folk medicine. It prevents the development of hypertension, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, diabetes, reduces the risk of stroke. It is used to treat wounds, heartburn, constipation, to cleanse the body. The inclusion of this product in the diet not only normalizes metabolism, but also removes excess cholesterol.
Flax seeds have anti-inflammatory and bactericidal properties, diuretic and laxative effects.
It is recommended to add 1-2 tablespoons of linseed oil to ready meals.
Note that this product should be protected from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Also, it dries quickly outdoors.
Castor oilCastor oil is used mainly as a laxative. Apart from medicine, it is also used in cosmetics. This is explained by the presence in its composition of fatty acids useful for the skin: linolenic, palmitic, stearic and oleic. This product is used in the form of a mask to stimulate hair growth and maintain the skin.
Note that only well-refined oil that is clear or slightly yellowish in color should be used for body care.
Castor oil is a means of removing warts, pigments and small scars. It is not suitable for children under 1 year and for pregnant women.
Coconut oilCoconut oil has a number of unique abilities: it is an extremely durable product with a long shelf life and retains its taste when heated repeatedly. In practice, there are no contraindications. It is rich in natural antioxidants, vitamins E, A, C and hyaluronic acid, which is the strongest moisturizer.
This oil does not accumulate in body fat and is recommended during weight loss diets. Improves digestion and helps good digestion. Its use as a dietary supplement reduces the likelihood of developing cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis, prevents the formation of cancer cells and strengthens the immune system.
Coconut oil is widely used in cosmetics: it has moisturizing, soothing and softening effects; helps heal wounds and burns; strengthens hair and helps its growth; prevents the formation of stretch marks during pregnancy.
Palm oilPalm oil is the only solid vegetable oil that is similar in composition to animal fat. Compared to other oils, it contains significantly more palmitic and other fatty acids.
Due to these features and the presence of saturated fatty acids, palm oil is used in the production of margarine, as a leavening agent for dough, serves to improve the commercial appearance and to extend the shelf life of many products.
Palm oil has no nutritional value because the useful fats and vitamins in it are 4-8 times less than those in sunflower oil.
