Healthy eating is not just about consuming healthy foods. It is important to know how they should be consumed so that the body can make the most of their qualities.

1. Flaxseed

Although small, these seeds have many health benefits because of their fiber content , heart - healthy omega-3 fatty acids and lignans - phytochemicals that have anti-cancer properties. The main problem with flaxseed is that these nutrients remain locked - the body may have difficulty absorbing them when they are added to smoothies or yogurt, for example. 
 
The recommendation of some nutrition experts is to consume flax seeds ground in order for the body to benefit from the useful nutrients in them.

2. Black tea

The qualities of this drink have been proven not by one or two studies, but a habit of adding fresh milk can prevent the absorption of some of them. Although milk will not harm the antioxidants in tea, it neutralizes all the benefits for cardiovascular health . The proteins in milk can bind to the catechins in tea, which makes them difficult for the body to absorb. 
 

3. Garlic

 
In addition to the extremely useful vitamin C, garlic also contains the enzyme allicin, which has anti-cancer properties. The interesting thing about it is that exposure to air can improve its properties. 
 
Nutritionists recommend chopping the garlic first, then letting it stand for about 10 minutes before adding it to the dish. In this way, more benefits can be "derived" from it.
